Italy Wins The World Cup [resolved]
Well i got up at 6am (local time) to watch it and boy o boy was it a good match. France scored first in about the 12th minute (I think). Italy replied with a goal in the 19th minute. It was a good game, lots of close calls and some great goal keeping. The game went into extra time, still tied at 1-1, extra time passed, still 1-1 So there was a penalty shoot out. I am a football(soccer) and basketball fan and the only reason I watched basketball is because of Michael Jordan. Right now I'm pretty disappointed. So far, no one has filled the void that this super star left. So many players such as Vince Carter, Michael Finley, Alen Iverson and lately Lebron James have been labeled the next Jordan but no one has fulfilled expectations. When will the next Michael ever come? When will the time come when we will feel good about playing basketball again?

There are so many threads about soccer and every other kind of sports here, very less cricket fans eh? So is anyone following the ongoing T20 world cup in England? I'm rooting for my home country India of course. Too bad Australia were knocked out - they would have brought in some excitement in the tournament. In this short format it will be very difficult to predict who will be the winner, seeing that England lost to a weak team in the very first game of the tournament!

The EPL fixture draft is out. Since I am an Arsenal supporter, naturally I am only keen in their fixture list. Looks like they have a tough opening month to the new season. First up is a trip to Goodison Park to face last season 5th place owner Everton. Next up will be home matches against Bolton and Portsmouth. To end the month, we will have to visit Old Trafford to face the champions. Tough opening indeed.
Wha is your favorite basketball team? I will start the thread off by saying I like the Detroit Pistons a lot, mainly because I am from Detroit and because I have season tickets so I can go to most of their games.
